NarAI Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 September 2026
App: NarAI (Android package com.narai.ai)
Developer: Himanshu Kumar Singh
Contact: himanshu006513@gmail.com

NarAI is an audio app that lets you listen to short narrated book summaries. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We have kept it plain and specific to what the app actually does.

1. Information we collect

InformationWhen it is collectedWhy
Google account details — your email address, name, and Google account ID When you sign in with Google To create and sign you into your NarAI account. Sign-in is required to use the app.
Listening progress — which books and chapters you have opened and where you left off As you use the app So you can resume where you stopped, across devices.
Purchase status — whether you hold a Premium purchase, the date of purchase, the date your Premium term ends, and a Google Play purchase token When you buy Premium To unlock Premium on your account and restore it if you reinstall or change phones.
Notification device record — a push token, a device ID, and basic device information (device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and approximate country from your IP address) When you first open the app. The notification permission controls only whether notifications are shown. To send you notifications about new content. You can decline or turn these off at any time.
Usage timestamps — when your account was created and when you last opened the app Automatically To understand active use and keep your account in good order.

What we do not collect: we do not collect your location, contacts, photos, files, or microphone audio. We do not record audio. We do not show advertisements inside the app. We do not sell your personal information.

If you contact support, we receive whatever you include in your message (for example your phone number if you ask for a call back). We use it only to respond to you.

A note on Android permissions. The app's permission list may include microphone and storage permissions. These are added by the audio playback library the app is built with and are not used by NarAI — the app never requests microphone access at runtime and never records anything.

2. Payments

Premium is sold as a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; NarAI never receives your card, bank, or UPI details.

When you start a purchase we pass Google Play an internal NarAI account identifier (not your email) so the purchase can be matched to your account. From Google we receive a purchase token, the product, and the purchase state, which we use to unlock Premium.

Refunds are handled through Google Play under Google's refund policy. If you have a problem with a purchase, contact us at the address above and we will help.

3. Who we share information with

We share information with the service providers that run the app, and with Meta for advertising measurement:

ProviderWhat they receivePurpose

This is an advertising/marketing use of your data. We do not currently offer an opt-out from advertising measurement; you can ask us to delete your data instead (Section 5).

These providers are not permitted to use your information for purposes beyond providing their service. We do not sell your information.
